Privacy Policy for Nexus Pad

Last updated: 06/08/2026

This Privacy Policy describes how information is collected, used and shared when you use the Nexus Pad mobile application (hereinafter, ‘the App’).

Your privacy is important to us. Nexus Pad is designed to operate primarily locally on your network. We do not ask you to create an account, nor do we directly collect personally identifiable information such as your name, email address or telephone number.

1. Data Controller

2. Data we do NOT collect

The App does not record, store or transmit to external servers any data relating to your physical inputs on the controller, your use of the gyroscope or your gaming habits, with the exception of commands intentionally sent to your local computer via your network for the operation of the App itself.

3. Data collected automatically (Third-Party Services)

To ensure the App functions correctly, to provide technical support and to monetise the App, we use third-party services which may collect information automatically. This data is generally anonymised and linked to your device identifier. Depending on the service, the processing is based on the following legal bases:

  • Advertising (Google AdMob): We use your device's advertising ID to show ads. Legal basis: Your explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), requested when the App is first launched via the consent banner (Google UMP).

  • In-App Purchases (RevenueCat and Google Play): We manage the unlocking of the PRO version through anonymous identifiers. Legal basis: The performance of a contract to which you are a party (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), specifically the provision of the requested Premium service.

  • Crash Reporting (Sentry): We collect anonymous technical data on crashes to fix bugs. Legal basis: The legitimate interest of the Data Controller (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) to ensure the stability and security of the App.

Crash Reporting and Diagnostics: We use tools such as Sentry to monitor the app’s stability. If the app crashes, these services automatically collect technical data, including: the device model, the operating system version, the IP address, the network status at the time of the crash, and the line of code that caused the error. This data is used solely for the purpose of fixing bugs.

Advertisements: The free version of the app displays adverts provided by external advertising networks (e.g. Google AdMob). These partners use your device’s advertising ID (a unique identifier) to provide you with relevant adverts and to measure the effectiveness of their campaigns.

In-App Purchases: To manage the PRO version (e.g. removing adverts, unlocking the gyroscope and future features), we rely on the Google Play Billing infrastructure and RevenueCat. Financial transactions are processed securely via Google. We and RevenueCat only receive an anonymous user ID to confirm the status of your purchase (e.g. whether you are a Premium user) and we never have access to your credit card details.

4. Your rights and choices

Advertising opt-out: You can disable ad personalisation directly from your Android device’s settings (Settings > Security and privacy > Privacy > Ads).

App permissions: You can revoke any network or sensor permissions at any time via your device’s system settings, although this may affect the App’s functionality as a controller.

5. Data Protection for Minors

The App is not specifically aimed at children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required by local legislation) and we do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you are a parent and believe that we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, please contact us.

6. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect any technical or legal changes. We recommend that you revisit this page periodically to stay informed.
