This Privacy Policy describes how the mobile application HeartRate for OBS (hereinafter, the "Application") operates regarding the management of user data.

The Application was designed with a strict privacy-focused architecture: it operates exclusively as a real-time transmission bridge on the user's local network (LAN/Wi-Fi) and does not store, archive, or share any personal or health data on external servers.

1. Data Controller

  • Name: Camillo Graziano

  • Location: Avellino, Italy

  • Contact Email: zkemsyt@gmail.com

2. What data we collect and why (Device Permissions)

To function, the Application requires access to specific device permissions, specifically the "Health Data read permission".

  • Heart rate data (Biometric Sensors): The Application accesses the heart rate sensor of the smartwatch or mobile device exclusively to read the data in real-time. This is strictly necessary to allow the transmission of the numerical heart rate value to your streaming software (OBS).

Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR): The processing of this biometric data occurs exclusively on the basis of your explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) and Art. 9(2)(a) of the GDPR), which you provide when you accept the system popup for access to the device's health sensors. You can withdraw this consent at any time.

3. Processing methods and "Zero Storing"

The processing of biometric data occurs solely in RAM memory (runtime) and follows the Zero Storing principle:

  • No Storage: Heart rate data is never saved in the device's memory, nor in local or cloud databases.

  • Exclusively Local Transmission: Data is transmitted directly from the device to the user's computer (where the OBS server resides) via the local network. No data travels over the Internet, nor is it sent to the Owner's servers or third-party services.

4. Data Sharing (Third Parties)

Since the Application does not store data and only operates locally, no personal or health data is ever shared with advertising networks, analytics companies, marketing agencies, or other third-party services.

5. User Rights

Users retain total control over their data. It is possible to revoke the health data access permission at any time directly from the device's operating system settings (e.g., Settings > Apps > HeartRate for OBS > Permissions). Revoking this permission will prevent the Application from functioning properly. For any questions, the user can contact the Owner at zkemsyt@gmail.com.

6. Changes to this Policy

The Owner reserves the right to make changes to this policy in the future by updating the date at the top of this document.
